Plungin

Yucky but true, unfortunately.  I worked on Saturday.  When I got home, the familyroom had an odd odor.  I thought it was mildew from the basement but nope, it wasn't.

I got home from work around 7 last night because I had to go grocery shopping on my way home.  I ate, played on the computer and noticed that Megan's milk had soured.  I dumped about 1/2 gallon into the sink.  It went nowhere.  No big deal because I can plunge the crap out of just about any drain in the house.  Took a bath, big mistake, then came down to plunge and planned to wash the dishes.  Double ugh!  I plunged the crap right into my powder room sink and this little sink behind the bar in the familyroom that no one uses.  Not to mention that I got another shower; a sludge shower.  The sludge just went from one end of the kitchen to the other.  My BF wasn't home.  Things like this drive me up the wall.  Now, I have dirty dishes everywhere because I'm the "dishwasher."  I had to dump my old coffee outside this morning to make new brew.

By now, it was well past 11:00.  I finally got my BF.  A plumber he isn't.  He said to just leave it, go to work and call Randy today.  Spending money and waiting for Randy is not my cup of tea.  Plus rotten milk and sludge standing in my sinks is disgusting. So, I'm off to Walmart to buy some Drano or something.  Of course, I've continued plunging.  LOL...I've got it down to a science.  I can hear when the plugged stuff loosens.  Haven't heard it yet.

This is how Chris spends her summer vacation.  Sad but true.  I'll make a good old mess for dandy Randy, my plumber.

HUGS  CHRIS

Oh! EEk...I hate that smell -sour milk yuk!  I remember when my son was a toddler and helped himself to the milk from the fridge, carried it into the lounge and tipped it all over the arm chair!!!  So happy it was a summer time, and I could scrub it clean outside!  No one else could smell it but I was convinced I could smell that sour smell for months after!  I do hope you get it sorted Chris!

Take care,
Millie :)

Lol! I'm sorry hon, when you said you went to take a bath, I was like uh-oh. Never fails the dirty work always ends up on you. Ewww.....Milk always goes bad in this house no one ever drinks enough of it. I usually dump it in my compost outside, It breaks down the compost wonderfully and apparently does the same to drains LOL.
I hope you can get it taken care of soon, before your entire house begins to smell like Sour Milk. (Hugs) Indigo

There wouldn't be any blockages where I was Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa.Everyone would be eating off paper plates with disposable cutlery Haaaaaa.Hope it gets fixed one way or another Poor Chris.Awwwwwwww Take care God Bless Kath

I am terrified of plumbing problems...I just had to unstop the drain in my bath tub...what I bought is an acid aqnd boy did it work fast...it cost me 8.00 at the harware store it is called ... LIQUID FIRE... IF YOU BUY IT PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY! IT is the best stuff I have found..It only took a minute to unstop the drain...but you need to dip out all the water first.
love ya,
carlene

Happens to the best of us!  Somebody hit the head of a sprinkler in the hall, causing a flood and took a hike informing no one, the ensuing flood was something to behold.  Covering a number of floors.  I thought well, there is always somebody to jam up the works. Isn't there. Happens nearly every day.   Gerry

Know that well....  a nice pipe cleaner...  baking soda and the vinegar.  It will fizzle and bubble and loosen the stuff on the pipes... after about 30 minutes boiling water.  Amazing and it leaves drains smelling better too...... ummm yeah even with vinegar.  LOL
Happy Mother's Day!
love ya

I hate when that happens!  I like The Works Drain Opener better than Drano.  Hope Randy was able to get it all fixed.
