Life in general

Life, in general, is quiet at the moment; though not for long.  Megan will be rolling in with even more furniture than we had here when she left....ugh.  She will roll back out to her dad's until Wednesday night.  She leaves for Asia at 4 am on Friday morning.  The dog sitting has been a pain for her.  She got $100 up front.  He was leaving her money to drive his wife's car to and from school.  He left her $20 and less than a half a tank of gas in the car.  Her parking is $7.00 a day.  She's none to happy because she will be spending most of her money on commuting.  He won't be home until after she leaves.  I warned her of this.

She found out yesterday that her hearing is on Tues afternoon.  She is picking me up at work and then has one more final on Wed.  The timing isn't too thrilling to me.  I'm worried that she'll blow the final from stress.  Ms. Megan's life will be far different after Tues from what she has known.  This will be a summer to remember for us all.  I'm sort of glad she will be gone for a month.  It will give us all a break.

The dilemma right now is tv's.  When Megan brings home the 27" tv at her house, we will have a total of 7 here....a 32", two 27", one 25", two 19" and her 13" tv with the VCR in it which she won't part with.  We have three DISH hook ups; none are in my bedroom.  I'm thinking the 25 and both 19's are going to Goodwill today.  Honestly, my house looks like Goodwill right now.

My BF is going to try and convince Megan to leave the sleigh bed in her room until she gets back from her trip and put the double bed back in my old room.  The sleigh bed has a trundle under it.  Megan will not listen to me and is insisting that the beds get moved for two months and then moved again.  Doesn't make sense so I'm sure there will be a major fuss about this but it is my house, and I'm used to major fusses.

I'm enjoying the quiet for the time being.

HUGS  CHRIS

I noticed you were updating a few minutes ago, so I came over to see how your life is going, even though it is only 4am here in Arizona.  A lot of hassle getting Megan off on her trip.  But I will be excited to hear what her reactions were to Asia  Something going on in every diection.  Hope everything goes as scheduled despite all the hassles.  Gerry

Goodness, Chris. Such turmoil....i understand this well. Damn kids will drive us both to the looney bin. I have seriously needed a drink in the last few weeks. Wow, all those TVs! You should try to sell a few if you can. I know that this is stressful but soon it will all be over. I love you, lisa jo

I hope the hearing goes well.  I know Megan is going to have a great time in Asia.  We just took a tv to Goodwill recently, and we still have a couple more than we need!

Chris does sound like you will be having tv overload your way for a while.  Glad to see that you know you are the head of that house and will stand firm on the bed situation at your place, no young ones have the right to dictate how things are going to be at home unless they pay all the bills, etc. I could see my folks allowing me to say this is how it's going to be bed wise, etc.  They would have shown me the front door until I was ready to apologize and accept that it was there house, not mine. Yes you can use a month break....hang in there...Arlene (AJ)

Sounds a bit like the calm before the storm. I love the graphic in this post hon, absolutely stunning. Take a deep breathe, one more week of drama, heartstrings getting pulled, worry, stress........Then you have a month of peace and serenity. As for the beds getting moved. If It was me?? I would put my foot down and tell Megan it's your house. In reality she is a guest in your home for a mere few months, it's time for her to take the adult outlook in life and realize guess what things don't always go your way. I have had my own discussion with my own daughter under these same lines lately. It seems our children are in such a rush to be adults with their own responsiblities, but they honestly want us to take care of everything for them. Wishing you love and peace in the coming storm. I don't know whether to laugh.. or cry for you, Chris.  I'm having problems with my own daughter lately, and so I think I will probably cry.... or maybe laugh... no.. I'll cry.  Whatever.. lol   At any rate, I am so happy that you will have some peace and quiet, even if it doesn't last very long... :/

I miss you, my friend..

Love you
Jackie
