Tailgating Friday

I just love putting pics up where I look absolutely atrocius.  We had a drenching, monsoon rain this morning and all my umbrellas were in my locker at work.....all four of them.  Good place to be.

Of course, by the time I got to work, my hair was awful so I put on my court jester hat.  Anyway, there was so much good food and we carried on for most of the day.  I heard a news report that said the production levels at all offices in the Tri-State area would suffer dreadfully today because of all the celebrations.  I can attest to that fact.

On my way home, I turned the bend onto a windy, dark road and almost slammed into a car.  The guy was totally drunk, unhurt but drove his car through a fence and somehow ended up in the middle of the road.  The front end was gone, gas was everywhere, no flashers on, and he was hysterically crying on his cell phone.  I parked my car, put my four ways on to prevent anyone from killing themselves from hitting his car.  He begged me not to call 911; he just wanted someone to push his car off the road, of course.  Sorry, buddy....I had already called the police and told them I would stay until they got there so no one got injured hitting him

I finally got home and Joey told me my transmission slipped in my Oldsmobile....music to my ears...NOT.  Big decision....first, Joey will check the bolts around the pan.  They may be loose.  I'm down a little bit of fluid.  Then I will have to decide if it's even worth putting a tranny in a car with well over 90,000 miles on it.  What to do?  I can hardly afford to even think of buying another car.  Ok...I'm just gonna pray about this one.

Anyway, another day in the life....lol...3 vehicles; a Mustang in the garage, off the insurance; 180,000 miles needing numerous repairs; a Gran Prix, 134,000 miles just used for local travelling and just yesterday Ms. Goodwrench had to fill it up with power steering fluid; and the "baby" Alero with 94,000 and a slipping transmission.  Lord, I need a life or a winning powerball ticket or an old, rich man...........

What a rough day.  Well maybe the steelers will make you proud on Sunday.  You know I put a transmission in my truck it's a 94 and a new motor.  it was cheaper each time I fixed it verses buying another car.  I will pray for you car problems.  The Lord can work wonders. Will also ask my mom to pray.  Take care and enjoy your weekend. Loved the hat.  first pic I have seen of you.  You need to add more!  TerryAnn.

Hi darling...I love the pic. You are so darn cute.  I am so sorry to hear about the car.  That really sucks.  I am such a baby when it comes to my cars.  If something goes wrong I freak out and panic, and then I cry and cry.  It always turns out ok though.  Love ya much,
Your adopted daughter in Minnesota,
KJ

Chris! Its a miracle no one was hurt or killed by that guy!  I have absolutley ZERO patience for people that drink and drive.  Your nicer than me I probally would have socked the guy. OK not really because Im too nice but I probally would have given him a serious scolding. Im glad you called the cops and I hope they do something to make sure he never does that again.

I thought the pictures were cute! I can imagine all the celebrating going on in your area yesterday; imagine the parties come Monday when we are celebrating the Steelers winning!

Sorry for the car problems; almost as bad as computer problems.

Sorry to hear about the cars. I have been there/done that. It`s always upsetting.
I love the way you said you need a rich, OLD man. lol...none of these young ones, but one who`s going to kick soon, huh? You`re too funny. You know I love ya! Take care.
