I have to be the craziest old "bat" in my neighborhood.  I have a detached garage in the back.  I swear it has to be almost as old as the house (90 yrs.).  It has the old wooden double doors and literally is leaning to the side.  I live on a bluff and the wind is atrocious at times.  Of course,  the wind the other night took my shingles off....once again.  My son and BF keep replacing them.  The last time they used  heavy duty single large sheets of shingles with nails with teeth.  I think the problem is the wood is rotting from being wet.  Sheesh, why doesn't the wind just blow the whole darned thing over.  Then insurance would pay for a new garage.

Anyway, I figured I needed to climb on the garage roof and pull the big piece of roofing stuff that was flipped over since we are expecting some more snow tonight.  LOL...what a fool I am.

I didn't realize how slippery that darned stuff is on the roof.  I was literally hanging on for dear life.  There is a shed attached with a flat roof so every time I slid, I would slide toward the flat roof.  I did manage to flip the piece over, then I had to figure out how to get off the roof onto my old rickety ladder.  I'm not particularly graceful, to say the least, but I did manage to safely remove myself.  And I have to add that I talk to myself continuously so my new next door neighbors must really think I'm nuts.  Welcome to the neighborhood...speaking of which...they are very, very odd.  Probably my age..husband and wife.  The man speaks to no one in the neighborhood.  The wife just waves out of the kitchen window.  I swear he keeps her locked in the house because I've never seen her outside in the two months since they moved in.  Now, their children are probably in their 30's and are super friendly when they visit.  Hmmm....scratching my head on this one.

I love my hair but I still think the chunks could be even wider than they are but Tammy, my stylist, takes things slowly.  She also cuts my BF's hair.  I think she doesn't want to shock him because he was hesitant at first about the chunks but he's loving this stuff more and more.  Ipromise some pictures will be coming.  Joey needs a battery for his digital camera and hasn't gotten around to getting it.  Besides that, he deletes all my good pics and keeps the hideous ones so that my children can have a good laugh on me....nice kid, hunh?

Have a great night all.....I may be back since I'm spending a quiet evening at home tonight and can't seem to stay away from the computer.....chris
