Whoo Hoo SNOW

Shelly XX Roxy Mama XX made the animation above with snow.  Way to go, Shelly!!   Shelly generously allows us (computer "illits") to "snag" her graphics.  All the graphics in this entry will be one's made by Shelly.  BIG HUGZ, Shelly, you are the best!

Lord, I'm praying that I am able to drag myself to work tomorrow.  I hate to take off.  I am getting absolutely nothing accomplished.  Plus, I tend to fret over things way too much when I'm sick and not doing much.

My son is fussing over this new job and well I can understand his unhappiness but he has only just started and has an insurance payment due for his car in January.  He is the official vacuum boy at Jiffy Lube.  I hesitate to laugh because you have to start somewhere and that's the job this particular Jiffy Lube breaks the new ones in doing.  There are usually two of them but so far he is the only one.  He has 5 min. to vacuum, clean the windows and check tire pressure.  LOL..I did feel bad for him last night because his hands looked like "dumbo" hands.  They are really swollen.  I try to explain that this is not his life's work.....just a bit of money until something better comes along.  We've all had jobs that stunk but put up with them.  Most part-time jobs are menial.  So, I pray and pray that he gets used to this before giving up.  But, it's sure not going to be smooth sailing in the meantime.......

Talked to my Baby last night.  She needed more advice.  Seems like the BF is confusing her....wants to be friends but also wants a little hug/kiss thing.  I quoted my 86 year old mom, her grandmother...."He wants his cake and eat it, too."  Gotta love my mom....she has sayings that stick in my head and now I'm sounding more like her.  That cracked Megan up.  She decided on her own (that's my girl) that he can't have it both ways....friends behave one way; BF/GF another.  Now, he is a friend; his choice....so, deal with it.  I told her to be cool about it; not cold; stay her sweet old self but draw the line.  JMO....she deserves much better.  I hope she moves way beyond.  I do believe she will.  She wouldn't have asked if she hadn't already known the answer.....

Also spoke with Becky yesterday.  She has done some Christmas shopping for me...God Bless her...truly.  I just don't have the energy right now, and she absolutely loves shopping.  Actually, last year, she was pretty much my personal shopper.  I live in a rural area.  Besides Target and Walmart, everything else is a 45 min excursion.  She lives back in Pgh in our old neighborhood with every store under the sun within minutes of her place.  LOL...if she only lived closer, I would have her do my tree in the livingroom.

One more chore to do and that is call and see if my car is done.  I don't even want to hear what it is going to cost me.  No snow today.  It's coming tonight into tomorrow and is that lake effect stuff from Lake Erie so Joey's Mustang will have to stay in the garage, and I need my other car.  Just another day in the life...........

Have a great rest of the afternnoon and evening all........chris

Love the graphics.

WTG for your son being the vacuum guy - you are right; they got to start somewhere!

I think you have awesome kids - they seem to have heads on their shoulders and prinicipals.

(snowing here in Montana)

Aww...thanks Chris.  Glad you like them.  Man, I remember my first job, at a fast food restaurant and they worked my butt off for pennies.  Poor Joey...life lessons learned though...same goes for Meagan....Life lessons learned!  GBU, Shelly
P.S. Ask Becky if she would like to come down here and do my shopping too.....I loathe shopping. lol

Wow, Shelly does great graphics. We will have to learn this next, Chris! Do I need to buy a program to start, or what - do you know?   Well, good for Joey that he is working at least. Like you  said, it will pay some bills for now. This is weird because at the ripe old age of 44 I also have a friend who wants to be just friends, then wants more. Good for Megan for standing up for herself. That kind of crap is not worth our time!! Don`t feel bad about taking time off work. You are sick after all, so just rest and relax while you`re able. Send me your shopping list - I seem to be at the stores every day!! : )

Tell your daughter they can be friends and she can give him hugs and kisses .....I think Herseys makes them....hahahahahahaha

Good advice for your daughter.  Also tell her guys dont' ever want to be "friends" that basically means they don't want a commitment with you but woudln't mind the occasional snuggle.  SHe is better off moving on.  the right guy is out there!!  I hope your son hangs in there with the job. We all gotta start somewhere :)

Like I Said "some" Guys tend to think they could have it all, Now on your Daughters Part yea tell her to continue acting sweet and Nice just the way she has been but to also make her self important just like he did when he kicked her to the curve, So what he thinks that he could have her when ver he pleases,...  Thats a "NO" "NO" to me lol.... Nice Graphics Imma go snatch some lol.  Pretty soon our Journals are going to look alike..  Take care.. Mari...

Your daughter seems like a great girl.  Breaking up is hard no matter the circumstances.
